Terms of Service

FR-ANK asks you once a day whether you're alive and kickin'. You tap to confirm. If you don't, it reminds you again at 30 and 60 minutes, and at 90 minutes it sends an SMS to the trusted contacts you chose asking them to check on you.

• FR-ANK is not an emergency service and does not contact 999.
• It notifies the contacts you choose, who are under no obligation to respond or act.
• It depends on your device, an internet connection, notification permissions and the mobile networks that carry the messages. Any of those can fail.
• It is not a substitute for medical care or a monitored personal alarm.

Please don't rely on FR-ANK as your only safety net if you have a condition that needs monitoring.

You need to be 16 or over to use FR-ANK. Keep your login details to yourself, give us accurate information, and keep your trusted contacts up to date — an out-of-date number is the most common reason a check-in alert goes nowhere.

By adding someone as a trusted contact you confirm you have their permission to give us their phone number and for us to text them on your behalf. Standard message rates may apply to them.

The Free plan gives you one check-in a day and one trusted contact, with no time limit. Pro adds three check-ins a day, five trusted contacts, custom windows, pet profiles and full check-in history.

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms.

If your subscription ends, your account stays open on the Free plan — you keep one daily check-in and one trusted contact.

Don't use FR-ANK to harass anyone, don't add contacts who haven't agreed to it, don't try to break, reverse-engineer or overload the service, and don't use it unlawfully. We may suspend accounts that do.

We aim to keep FR-ANK running, but we can't promise it will be available without interruption. We may update, change or discontinue features. If we make a significant change, we'll let you know in the app or by email.

FR-ANK is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any failure of your device, network, notification settings or trusted contacts to deliver or act on a message. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
